The SEMCAD X Student Research Award for 2008 first prize was presented to the winner Michael Thiel during 2009 IEEE International Symposium on Antennas and Propagation (APS/URSI), in Charleston, SC, USA.
1st Place:
Michael Thiel received USD 5000 for his work entitled: "Analysis of Human Backscattering in Buildings for Through-wall Radar Applications".
His school, University of Michigan, USA, received a SEMCAD X V14 aXware 400 Package
Deborah A. Langman received USD 2000 for her work entitled: "A Comparison of RF Induced Lead Tip Heating versus Computer Simulated Electric Field for a 1.5T MR".
Her school, UCLA, USA received a SEMCAD X V14 Package
David Brunner received USD 1000 for his work entitled: "Travelling-wave Nuclear Magnetic Resonance".
His school, ETH Zürich, Switzerland received a SEMCAD X V14 Package
