| Calibration Procedure | SPEAG has been accredited by the Swiss Accreditation Service METAS according to ISO 17025 to conduct traceable calibration of OCP from 20 MHz to 6 GHz. Dielectric measurements with known uncertainty are important for many applications, e.g., for SAR measurements and therefore calibration is required. The dielectric materials used during the evaluation have been carefully selected to cover the range of interest and have known parameters verified with traceable measurements. At low frequencies for low loss materials, the Loss Tangent is evaluated instead of the Conductivity which has a high uncertainty. Modular calibration packages allow to obtain the optimum calibration as required for a specific laboratory. Each calibration for the probe and optional accessories (cable, short circuit) includes: - Inspection of probe and accessories (if provided) - Conduction of the specific probe calibration sequence - Evaluation of the short calibration capability and performance - Evaluation of validation liquid measurement according to the package - Evaluation of material measurements according to package - Calibration document with the detailed results (material and frequency specific uncertainties) The following packages are available: * SAR liquids package (20 MHz - 6 GHz); e.g. head/body tissue simulating liquids (TSL) * MRI liquids package (20 MHz - 300 MHz); e.g. low loss and moderate saline solutions * Semi-solid/Solid package (300 MHz - 3 GHz); e.g., tissue simulating gel and low planar material |
