Time Domain Sensor (TDS) probes are miniturized optically fully isolated active magnetic or electric field sensors operating in the frequency range from 10MHz to 6GHz offering you unparalleled sensitivity and EM measurement resolved in the time- and frequency domains with phase information. TDS-Standalone will be the first released product (Q1/2012) employing a whole new EM probe generation from SPEAG.
Portable TDS system for use in in-situ measurement applications
|
The advantage of the TDS technology is that allows measurements in the time- and frequency domains with full amplitude and phase information over a large bandwidth whilest offering a miniature sensor size. In addition the active-optical TDS sensors offer an unparalleled sensitivity, with sensitivities better than those of competitive passive optical probes by 60dB. A TDS-Standalone system includes one TDS E- or H-field probe (additional probes optionally available), a 8m fiber-optical patchcord (attached to the probe) and a stand-alone remote unit for direct use of the TDS system with standard RF test equipment. | Measurement Equipment Connectivity |
Every TDS Standalone system comes with a single channel remote unit (multi-channel, optically multiplexed optionally available). The remote unit provides the optical (LASER) power supply for the TDS technology, the conversion of the optical probe signal into a standard 50Ω output signal (3.5mm connector), as well as measurement monitoring and configuration functionality. For synchronization with the receiver equipment the remote unit offers TTL type ready and arm trigger inputs and outputs. |

| MRI Applications | Specifically for MRI applications our TDS-MRI probes have been optimized for a minimal amount of magnetic material in the sensor head and the entire probe body in order to provide a minimal impairment on the imaging quality while using our probes in MRI. Available MRI probe configurations: H1TDSx-MRI, H1TDSz-MRI, E1TDS-MRI |

| Applications |
High resolution in-situ incident fields measurements (sweeping method according IEC62232). Mapping of the complex vectorial (including phase) B1-field in MRI. Phase and amplitude distribution mapping along implants exposed to EM fields in MRI. EMC/EMI sniffing applications. High energy electro-magnetic pulse (EMP) characterization. Any other high precision EMF measurements, e.g., in reverberation chambers, anechoic chambers, open test sites, clinical environments or EMC laboratories. Free space E & H - field measurements. Antenna near field measurements. Validation of simulation results (e.g. SEMCAD X). |
