Willem Louw was born in 1977 in Pretoria, South Africa. He received his B.Eng. degree from the University of Stellenbosch and his M.Sc. Eng. from the same university in 2005. There he continued to work on the development of material properties measurement at microwave frequencies and EM simulations to investigate microwave heating on mineral ore samples. From 2006 to 2009 he worked for ITS Engineers
Pretoria on the design and implementation of a fibre optic communications network and related devices for traffic management including the development of a control room. 2009 he joined SPEAG where he is responsible for the EASY4/MRI product development, sales and support. He also assists Michael Oberle, Head of Medical Technology, with customer support and measurement applications in MRI.
